After 11 years of successful trading, Blue Mini has matured into an icon of the Mornington Peninsula food scene.
Known for its fast serve café offering take away coffee and toasted sandwiches, the spacious Colchester Road property also boasts an eclectic eatery area with a welcoming atmosphere that encourages relaxed dining.
Owner Tracey Ross and chef John Ward work with local mushrooms, veggies, herbs and free-range eggs to create menu items that capture the imagination of food lovers whilst supporting local producers.
And while the extensive seasonal menu changes regularly to keep visitors engaged, there is always a focus on healthy, affordable food…with a twist.
For example the current menu has moved to a focus on hearty, tummy warmers to reflect the cool change in weather. If you are visiting for breakfast, you might like to try…
Breakfast Carbonara – linguini, spiced chorizo, wilted spinach and cherry tomatoes topped with fresh herbs and a poached egg. Or Canadian Flapjacks – sweet apple and ricotta griddle cake with maple syrup, cinnamon walnut crumb, raspberry dust and vanilla bean ice cream.
Starting at 11.30am, lunch offers…
Warm Winter Gnocchi Salad – fried homemade Parmesan gnocchi with caramelised pear, roquette, red onion, walnuts and blue cheese dressing. Or Braised Beef Cheek with sticky rich jus on a bed of warm blue cheese polenta mash, spinach and crisp sweet potato chips.
Blue Mini is open daily 7am – 4pm for all day breakfast, lunch, coffee and home made cakes.
