Vintage, retro, quirky.
These are all words that can be used to describe Blue Mini, the iconic café, eatery and retail emporium in Rosebud’s industrial estate.
Opened in late 2013 Blue Mini gets much of its character from the origins of its location – for many years it was the local bowling alley. And now, part of the Blue Mini’s appeal comes from its subtle hints to this history.
From the bowling lane floors, to the old control station and strategically placed pins, the bowling theme is present throughout the décor. Along with repurposed furniture, crockery and bench seating, this all combines to create a welcoming and homely feel in the spacious eatery.
While regulars come for the coffee and tasty, affordable food they often leave with something extra as the retro fit out is contrasted with a range of modern gift and home wares. From locally made timber furniture, hand made jewellery and artworks to fashion, candles, cushions and more.
Always striving to innovate, Blue Mini has a new project underway that will tantalise the senses of visitors. With a minor renovation taking place to accommodate the change, customers have been trying to guess what is coming, but for now it’s all a secret.…stay tuned for details.
